There are a lot of healthy foods we have to thank the Andean natives for and it seems that Maca is one of them. So we think. Maca is a plant that grows in the Peruvian Andes for the past 3000 years. It may look like a potato, however it has the shape of radish. The roots are dried and grounded to powder. Maca is a source of protein, minerals and vitamins. It has a an awful taste that can be disguised pretty good in your daily smoothie. But are there real benefits?
